Who we are

LaunchShots ("we", "us") is a free, browser-based toolkit for making App Store and Play Store assets, operated by Sedat Okutan. You can reach us at sedat@okutan.org.

Your images stay on your device

This is the most important point: the screenshot editor, icon generator, feature graphic maker and other tools process everything locally in your browser. The screenshots and images you upload are never transmitted to, stored on, or seen by our servers. When you close the tab, they're gone from memory.

What we do collect

We collect a limited amount of data to run and improve the site:

• Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand things like how many people visit, which pages are popular, and roughly where visitors come from. This data is aggregated and not used to personally identify you.
• Feedback you submit. If you post on our feedback board, we store what you write (title, description, optional screenshot, optional name) so it can be displayed and so we can respond. Don't include private information in feedback posts.
• Server logs. Like most websites, our host keeps standard logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) for security and reliability.
• A global counter. We keep a simple count of how many designs have been created, with no personal data attached.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar storage for a few purposes:

• Essential / functional. To remember small preferences (like whether you've visited before) so the site works smoothly.
• Analytics. Google Analytics sets cookies to measure traffic, as described above.
• Advertising. Where ads are shown (currently on blog articles), Google and its partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads. Google may use the DoubleClick cookie to serve ads based on a user's prior visits.

You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We may display ads served by Google AdSense on blog articles. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising at the links above. We do not show ads inside the editor or tools.

Third-party services

We rely on a few trusted third parties whose own privacy policies apply: Google (Analytics and AdSense), our web host, and Google Fonts for typography. We don't sell your personal data to anyone.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR in the EU or CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. Since we collect very little, this usually concerns feedback you've posted — email us at sedat@okutan.org and we'll help.

Data retention

We retain data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected. Feedback posts remain until you ask us to remove them. Shared design links expire automatically after 7 days. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' default settings (26 months). We do not maintain long-term archives of personal data.

Children

LaunchShots is a tool for app developers and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your region). We don't knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
