Paris 1965. Two thieves venture on a heist to steal a precious diamond. This should be a simple job. But someone is following them. Midnight Girl is a casual 2D point-and-click adventure game that takes place in France during the Sixties. The story, mood, and style of the game are inspired by the city of Paris, Belgian comics and heist films from the Sixties. The late teen tomboy Monique enjoys life as a cat burglar in Paris. She ends up in jail after a heist gone wrong, and here she meets an enigmatic prisoner and fellow thief. The prisoner knows of precious diamond - stored in a secret underground vault in the heart of Paris. They agree to try and steal the diamond together, and this leads our heroes on a quest through a catholic monastery, a Parisian metro station and the Catacombs.
Every shipping app on the App Store has gone through the same decisions you're working through right now: which screenshot goes first, what caption sits over it, which device frame to show, what color the background should be. The 20 screenshots above are Midnight Girl's answers to those questions — they're public, they're real, and they made it through Apple's review.
Notice the first screenshot in particular. It's the one users see in search results and on the product page, and it's where most apps spend their best caption and tightest design. Look at the proportion of background to phone, where the text sits, what one thing the image is trying to communicate.
