Alkitab (Indonesian Bible). Terjemahan Lama. Perjanjian Lama dan Perjanjian Baru Terjemahan Lama (TL) adalah sebuah versi terjemahan Alkitab dalam bahasa Indonesia yang diterbitkan pada tahun 1958 oleh Lembaga Alkitab Indonesia (LAI). Alkitab ini menjadi Alkitab yang dipakai secara umum sebelum akhirnya digantikan oleh Terjemahan Baru pada tahun 1974. Jadi sebenarnya Terjemahan Lama ini bukanlah terjemahan yang paling lama, paling tua atau paling asli dalam bahasa Indonesia, sebab sebelumnya sudah ada belasan terjemahan lainnya dalam bahasa Melayu/Indonesia. Alkitab adalah sebutan untuk kitab suci umat Kristiani. Alkitab itu meskipun umumnya dicetak sebagai satu jilid buku, sebenarnya merupakan kumpulan dari 66 kitab yang secara resmi diakui oleh umat Kristen sebagai kitab yang diilhami oleh Tuhan Allah.
