In Notfällen wie dem Herz-Kreislauf-Stillstand, aber auch in weiteren Krisensituationen alarmiert die Leitstelle per Smartphone-App Freiwillige in der Nähe des Einsatzes. Entsprechend der registrierten Qualifikation beginnen die freiwilligen „Ersthelfer“ mit Rettungsmaßnahmen, schon bevor die professionellen Rettungskräfte eintreffen.
