La App Barik es una nueva aplicación gratuita del Consorcio de Transportes de Bizkaia que sustituirá a la actual aplicación Barik NFC ofreciendo dos servicios a los usuarios del sistema Barik. Por un lado, el servicio de la aplicación actual que permite la consulta y recarga de saldo monedero y otros títulos de transporte sobre cualquier tarjeta física Barik, las veces que se desee, a cualquier hora del día, desde cualquier localización geográfica y sin pasar por un punto físico de la red de transporte. Por otro lado, permite viajar en el transporte público de Bizkaia directamente con el móvil, para lo cual el usuario habrá debido virtualizar su tarjeta física personalizada a través de la propia aplicación o estar dado de alta en el sistema Barik y generarse una nueva tarjeta Barik virtual personalizada.
