The My Liverpool app enhances your experience while studying or working at the University of Liverpool. If you’re a student, you can view your timetable, get directions to your sessions, and register attendance once you’re there. Absence management makes it easy to submit absence requests in the app. If you’re a member of staff, you can see your timetable, get directions, and generate attendance codes for sessions. The app also gives students and staff access to the library, allowing you to pass through the barriers using your phone. You can see borrowed books and renew them in the app. Event listings are included so you can get involved in different activities held across the University.
Every shipping app on the App Store has gone through the same decisions you're working through right now: which screenshot goes first, what caption sits over it, which device frame to show, what color the background should be. The 10 screenshots above are My Liverpool's answers to those questions — they're public, they're real, and they made it through Apple's review.
Notice the first screenshot in particular. It's the one users see in search results and on the product page, and it's where most apps spend their best caption and tightest design. Look at the proportion of background to phone, where the text sits, what one thing the image is trying to communicate.
