Al-Madina Newspaper - جريدة المدينة نبذة عن المؤسسة أسس علي و عثمان حافظ صحيفة المدينة المنورة، وصدر أول عدد منها في يوم الخميس السادس و العشرين من محرم عام 1356هـ الموافق 8/4/1937م بالمدينة المنورة . وفي عام 1383هـ الموافق 1963م انتقلت ملكية الجريدة لمؤسسة المدينة للصحافة والنشر، وقد مرت الجريدة بتطورات عديدة ونمت نمواً مطردا خلال ما يربو على نصف القرن . البداية القوية : صدرت المدينة لأول مرة في أربع صفحات لكنها تفردت كونها أول صحيفة سعودية تنشر الصور الفوتوغرافية, وكانت تصدر أسبوعيا ومنذ إنشائها اشتغلت بنشر ألوان المعرفة والثقافة بالإضافة إلى الأخبار المحلية والعالمية. وكان أول رئيس تحرير لها أمين مدني وفي 19 ربيع الثاني 1356هـ (عام 1937مـ) تولى السيد عثمان حافظ رئاسة التحرير حيث أصبح صاحب الجريدة ومحررها المسئول وشارك علي حافظ أخاه مسؤولية التحرير في 26 جمادى الأول 1358هـ حيث اصبحا معاً (صاحبي الجريدة ومحرراها).
