Hide your words behind the mask. Smilio is a fully offline secret-message studio wrapped in a dark Venetian masquerade aesthetic. Encode and decode text with six classic ciphers — Caesar Shift, ROT13, Atbash, Vigenère, Rail Fence, and Keyed Substitution — then share your ciphertext anywhere. Only the recipient who holds the key can unlock what you wrote. The star of the show is steganography: tuck a secret message invisibly inside a photo using LSB pixel encoding, save it to your gallery, and pass it on. To anyone without Smilio the image looks perfectly normal. Pick the photo back up at any time and Smilio surfaces the hidden words in an instant. Not sure which cipher was used? The built-in Cracker runs frequency analysis against any ciphertext and ranks the most likely Caesar shifts with side-by-side decoded previews. The Cipher Library walks you through how every algorithm works, …
Every shipping app on the App Store has gone through the same decisions you're working through right now: which screenshot goes first, what caption sits over it, which device frame to show, what color the background should be. The 9 screenshots above are Smilio's answers to those questions — they're public, they're real, and they made it through Apple's review.
What the numbers say: Smilio runs a dark set where the background shifts from screenshot to screenshot (first shot #0C042C) — each image has to stand on its own, so the captions carry more of the story. The accent colour we picked up, #840404, is the one to reuse for badges, arrows and highlighted words if you borrow this look. Hit Use this style to open the editor with these exact colours and drop your own screenshot in.
Notice the first screenshot in particular. It's the one users see in search results and on the product page, and it's where most apps spend their best caption and tightest design. Look at the proportion of background to phone, where the text sits, what one thing the image is trying to communicate.
