”中国海南国际扑克大赛”赛事简介 近年来，扑克运动在中国发展很快，2012年国家体育总局将扑克运动列为正式开展的社会体育项目并在全国大力推广，国家体育总局支持在海南省试行开展扑克运动项目。（棋牌字〔2012〕 235号） 为推动《国务院关于推进海南国际旅游岛建设发展的若干意见》（国发〔2009〕 44号）关于“在海南试办一些国际通行的旅游体育娱乐项目“若干政策落地，加快海南省文化体育产业发展，2012年经国家体育总局棋牌运动管理中心、海南省文化出版广电体育厅和三亚市人民政府同意，创办“中国海南国际扑克大赛（英文：China Poker Games， 简称：CPG)〞，并将此次比赛打造成海南国际旅游岛体育娱乐旅游国际品牌。 本赛事拥有单项体育竞赛许可 （琼文体[2013]1040-001号）和网络文化经营许可 （琼网文[2015]1494-004号）。经过多年的发展，每年吸引大量国内外运动员参赛，是目前中国区域内规模最大、最具国际影响力的品牌扑克赛事。
