Virella is a film discovery and personal tracking app designed to help users explore movies in a more reflective way. Instead of browsing only by genre or popularity, Virella organizes films through mood and viewing experience. The app allows users to browse a curated collection of films, open detailed pages for each movie, and build personal lists of titles they want to watch or have already seen. Users can save films, mark them as watched, or organize them into custom shelves. Virella also includes tools that help users reflect on their viewing experience. After watching a film, users can record a short “aftertaste” entry using sliders that describe tone, pacing, warmth, darkness, and other aspects of the film experience.
